The Golden Arrow bus service will not be left out in the cold as the MyCiTi bus service continues to be rolled out.

A total of 200 stations will be constructed along the Atlantic Seaboard towards Hout Bay.

The city’s Kylie Hatton said they have been in negotiations with the taxi industry and Golden Arrow for the past two years.

Construction is due to start in July.

Hatton said the service should start running towards the middle of 2012.

“As we extend the service along the Atlantic seaboard towards Hout Bay and then into the Salt River area, Golden Arrow will be given an opportunity based on their current market share to become one of the vehicle operators that operate in that area as well,” she said.
