At a special announcement at Montecasino, the premier entertainment destination’s operator, Tsogo Sun, confirmed a new partnership with the Sport Industry Summit that will see its world-renowned hotels and facilities play host to sporting experts from around the globe this week.

Hundreds of leading sporting figures will gather at Deloitte’s headquarters in Johannesburg for the Sport Industry Summit on Thursday, October 25th, including representatives of Premier League and Serie A football clubs, NFL teams and the NBA. They will join global PR and marketing experts and the leaders of South African sport to share best practice and exchange ideas to drive the country’s continued sporting success.

Those speakers, panellists and agenda-setters will join millions of annual visitors to Montecasino as guests at the complex’s world-class hotels during their stay in Johannesburg. With the complex already the accommodation partner of many of South Africa’s leading federations and sporting institutions, the partnership cements its place as accommodation of choice for the sport industry.

Rob Collins, Tsogo Sun’s chief marketing officer, said: ‘We at Tsogo Sun are proud of the achievements of South African sport. From hosting major events to the teams representing us on the world stage, South Africa’s sporting achievements have been a wonderful advert for the country for many years. We look forward to our own part in showing the best of South Africa when we host the Sport Industry Summit’s speakers and leaders this week.’

Speakers at the Sport Industry Summit will include SARU CEO Jurie Roux; SAFA CEO Robin Petersen; Cricket SA acting CEO Jacques Faul; SASCOC President Gideon Sam, FIFA executive Danny Jordaan; Multichoice SA Group Chief Executive Officer Imtiaz Patel; M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment CEO Steve Martin; Deanna Ford Castellini, Family Owner of the NFL’s Cincinnati Reds and Co-Founder of UGive.org; and many more.

The Sport Industry Summit’s Official Partners are Deloitte, Virgin Atlantic, BMi SportInfo and Tsogo Sun, alongside Official Media Partner Sports Illustrated and Sponsors including GalloImages and True Colour Events.
