South Africa’s Hosken Consolidated Investments Ltd (HCIJ.J: Quote) reported a 54 percent drop to 255 cents in full year headline earnings on Thursday.

Hosken, which controls leisure firm Johnnic Holdings JNCJ.J and has a majority stake in commercial TV broadcaster etv, said revenue for the year to end March stood at 8.06 billion rand ($942.3 million), compared to 5.43 billion rand in the previous corresponding period.

“Growth in the media businesses together with the first-time consolidation of Seardel and the Cullinan Hotel were the most significant drivers of growth in revenue,” the firm said in a statement.
