MIXED emotions were followed by jubilation as e.tv reality dance show Step Up or Step Out came to an end in Johannesburg last night.

And coming out victorious was Kasi crew, Tembisa Revolution, pocketing a whopping R80,000 and a fancy motor bike for each crew member.

Although the judges occupied their usual seats, the dancers’ fate was in the public’s hands.

Dance group Psychotics got the least of the public’s vote. Another troupe, WEDEFY, was slightly better on the public votes’ stakes. Vintage were second best in terms of the public’s admiration.

On the deck was DJ Mahoota versus Vetkoek, who did their best to ease the tension of the audience who had their fingers crossed for their different, favourite crews.

Judge Khabonina Qubeka was excited, as usual, about the finale and had this to say: “I am glad the public had to do the job, otherwise it would have been difficult for me to decide (on the overall winners). I would have lost my job because I would have had more than one crew winning.”
