According to a statement, e.tv’s programming strategy focuses on delivering fresh, relevant and entertaining programming that promotes diversity and transcends all age groups, demographics and gender. The channel strives to go beyond reflecting the lives of South Africans, and is proud to be able to provide viewers room to express their unique talent. e.tv’s current slate of local reality programmes includes, Step Up Or Step Out, So What, Rolling with…, and Blame It On Fame.

Trish Kinane, president of Worldwide Entertainment, FremantleMedia says: “We are delighted that Got Talent will make its debut on e.tv. Got Talent has been hugely successful around the globe and we think it has enormous potential in South Africa, given the vast pool of talent in the country. We look forward to seeing what South Africa’s Got Talent will uncover, and I have no doubt the show will be just as popular with e.tv’s audiences as it has been worldwide”.

Details and launch dates for South Africa’s Got Talent will be released at a later stage.

It won’t be the first time South Africa’s Got Talent appears on South African screens. Two previous seasons, also produced by Rapid Blue, appeared on SABC2 in 2009 and 2010.
