South African commercial free-to-air channel e.tv has announced the judges for its production of SA’s Got Talent – radio and TV presenter Shado Twala, singer / dancer / comedian / pianist Ian von Memerty and entertainer Kabelo ‘Bouga Luv’ Mabalane. Award-winning comedian Tats Nkonzo will present the show.

Both Twala and Von Memerty have judged previous seasons of SA’s Got Talent.

Johannesburg-based company Rapid Blue is producing SA’s Got Talent, the local version of the Got Talent format which is co-owned by Fremantle Media and Syco. The show is based on Simon Cowell’s original winning format, Britain’s Got Talent, which spawned spin-off shows in 39 countries and catapulted the likes of Susan Boyle into overnight international stardom. Says Luxury Msiza, e.tv’s executive producer: “We have taken a fresh approach to ensure that the show provides interesting viewing experience for our viewers. As an all-rounder in the entertainment industry Kabelo ‘Bouga Luv’ Mabalane brings a fresh approach to the judging panel.

“New kid on the block Tats Nkonzo has a unique capability to wow his audience with humour. We believe that the journey towards unveiling South Africa’s next superstar will be highly engaging.”

SA’s Got Talent is a true celebration of the South African spirit, featuring a colourful array of hopeful stars including dancers, musicians, magicians, contortionists, jugglers, ventriloquists, comedians, singers and much, much more. With the hottest local talent all vying for their chance to strut their stuff in the world’s biggest talent show franchise, the entire country will wait in anticipation to see who will walk away with the R250 000 grand prize and the opportunity to become an international sensation.

Cadbury Lunch Bar, SA’s best loved chocolate bar, is once again the proud sponsor of SA’s Got Talent.

Says Greg Banach, Kraft Foods category leader: Chocolate: “Our association with SA’s Got Talent is an ‘Oviaas’ fit. The first two seasons were a resounding success and placed Lunch Bar in the spotlight, we look forward to what the show will bring this year – who could forget the first season when hearing-impaired Darren Rajbal danced his way to glory and impressed the nation with his incredible talent and James Bhemjee sang his way to the top in season two. We cannot wait to see who offers much, much more talent this season.”
